Shireman's Barbershop has been our only barber since moving to Athens and finding Mrs. Becky. She is always on time, does excellent work, treats my sons with such kindness, and always makes them look their best even accommodating their personal hairstyle choices. Every experience at the shop has been excellent and I think it exemplifies some of the best of Athens-- community focused, excellent customer service and you feel like family. Today I was able to observe Mrs. Becky gently, carefully and with the utmost respect and concern care and style one of her older clients-- she is a true gem! While they often work in the many walk-ins that come in personally I love and appreciate the opportunity to make appointments because we have never had to wait and they are very busy (for good reasons) so I recommend calling ahead. I have been able to get an appointment in the same week when needed.

First time visiting Shireman’s. Clair did not have an appointment at the time and was able to take me right away. She listened to my requests and recognized that I have a cowlick. She took her time and cut and trimmed my hair to perfection. Offered a free eyebrow and ear trim. I’m new to town due to military move and have found my barber shop! (Took me a year last location!) Shop is clean, neat, and nostalgic! Ladies are very nice and has the old time feel with newer style! Highly recommend!

Very friendly and not a bad barber there. Always have had a pleasure in going there to get "cleaned up." Great people and great haircuts and conventially located in downtown Athens on North Marion Street. You won't be disappointed.
